Trek around Anapurna October/November 2002

We were a group of four Swiss people who wanted to walk around the Anapurna range, with the Thorong-La pass (5550 meters) being the highest point on our trek. A very nice trek by the way, very recommendable to any lover of mountains and hiking in general. Krishna being our guide is a very thoughtful and helpful person. He picked us up from the airport, brought us to our hotel, showed us the sights of Kathmandu and organised the transport to the departure point of our trek. He watched over our every step. He made sure the accommodations were in good condition and that our food was to our expectation (which was not always easy). He was a fantastic guide. One day the whole of the group ordered Momo for lunch (a local speciality). The owner of the restaurant didn’t know how to make them and he didn’t dare to tell us. So Krishna disappeared in the kitchen for half an hour and we got served delicious Momo’s. Only later that day he told us the whole story and that it was him who made lunch for us….. Another time we were craving for meat, which you don’t get any more over 2500 meters. On that day a Yak fell off the track and was served to us as a delicious stew. It was quite a miracle – especially when you see how sure Yaks walk even on the narrowest paths… Back in Kathmandu Krishna organised a farewell party with dinner in a local restaurant and dancing in a Disco (!!!) afterwards – a splendid evening. Anyway, our trek is full of the best memories. We can only recommend Krishna as guide, as cook or as tour organiser. We will surely return to Nepal for another trek and Krishna will organise it for us!

Im August 2004 war Krishna unser Führer ins Königreich Mustang.

Seine guten organisatorischen Fähigkeiten sowie seine Beziehungen zur lokalen Bevölkerung ermöglichten uns sogar eine aufregende Privataudienz beim König von Mustang.

Krishna ist ein fröhlicher, freundlicher, umgänglicher Begleiter gewesen.

Sein fundiertes Wissen über Menschen, Kultur und Natur hat uns viele unvergessliche Eindrücke vermittelt.

Sowohl Krishna wie auch seine Mannschaft haben uns während dieser Zeit sehr verwöhnt, so dass wir immer wieder mit viel Freude an diese gemeinsame, erlebnisreiche Reise zurückdenken.

Wir wünschen Krishna viel Erfolg für sein junges Trekkingunternehmen und viele interessierte und begeisterte Trekkingfans.
