Lobuche Peak and Island Peak are two famous trekking peaks in Nepal, ideal for adventure seekers. Lobuche Peak stands at 6,119 meters and lies near Everest Base Camp in the Khumbu region. It offers a moderately challenging climb with rocky ridges and icy sections. The summit provides stunning views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. Island Peak, also called Imja Tse, is 6,189 meters high and located in the Imja Valley. It is a classic beginner-friendly Himalayan climb with a steep ice headwall. Both peaks are best climbed in the spring (April–May) or autumn (October–November). Island Peak is more popular and often more crowded than Lobuche. Lobuche is slightly more technical, while Island Peak involves glacier travel. Both peaks add thrilling experiences to any trek in the Everest region.
