Tour Details

Trekking across alpine forest to the Langtang Valley is one of the most rewarding and enjoyable adventures. Langtang Valley trek is relatively short and easily accessible by a 7-hour-long drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi village. From Syabrubesi we gently follow a long uphill mountain trail through beautiful Tamang villages, diverse topography, beautiful waterfalls, hidden valley, monasteries and densely forested areas. While trekking, one can enjoy a spectacular view of the snow-clad mountains and glaciers with diverse flora and fauna. In spring, you can see blooming of rhododendrons in the surroundings. But, you need to be careful of languor monkey while passing through the woods.
You will further walk through water mills, chortens, prayer flags, and yak pasture and come across sacred mounds of rocks with carved inscriptions on the way. After you cross over some moraines and small streams, you’ll reach Kyanjin Gompa where you will explore the ancient monastery and visit the cheese factory. Most of the mountain trails are uphill and downhill to reach each halting place. On the final day of the trek, you will drive back from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu and stay at a hotel.
Langtang Valley trekking is suitable to everyone whether they are family groups, student groups or first -time trekkers in Nepal. One who has a plan to attempt high-altitude, longer trek like Everest Base Camp trek or Annapurna Circuit trek, can join in the Langtang Valley trek.
The best time for Langtang Valley trek is spring (March to May) and Autumn (Sept to Nov). One can also do this trek in Dec-Jan, though the weather might be unstable.
