Tour Details

 Lower Solu-Khumbu is located in the northeastern part of Nepal, in the Solu-Khumbu district.The region can be reached by domestic flights from Kathmandu to Phaplu or by road transportation from Kathmandu to Salleri, the district headquarters. Lower Solu-Khumbu offers various trekking routes, including the Pikey Peak trek, the Solu-Khumbu Cultural Trail, and the Dudh Kunda trek.

 The region boasts breathtaking landscapes with lush forests, terraced fields, pristine rivers, and panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks. Lower Solu-Khumbu is predominantly inhabited by Sherpa people, renowned for their mountaineering heritage and rich cultural traditions. Junbesi, Nunthala, Bupsa, Salleri, and Ringmo are some of the charming villages and towns in the region, each offering its own unique cultural experiences.

Lower Solu-Khumbu is home to several ancient Buddhist monasteries, such as Thupten Chholing Monastery in Junbesi and Chiwong Monastery in Taksindu. There are tea houses and lodges available along the trekking routes, providing basic accommodation, meals, and a chance to experience the local hospitality. Compared to the popular Everest Base Camp trekking route, Lower Solu-Khumbu offers a quieter and less crowded trekking experience.Lower Solu-Khumbu is a great option for those seeking a less explored and off-the-beaten-path trekking adventure in Nepal.
