Tour Details

The Dhaulagiri Circuit trek is the most popular and challenging camping trek in the Annapurna region that takes you to the base camp of Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167 m). Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek is also commonly called Dhaulagiri Round Trek. The journey starts from Pokhara driving up to Beni Bazaar and then trekking through low farming lands to lush fertile and to the desert-like & treeless valleys to the north.

Much of the route is covered with snow and glaciers while crossing the two high passes -the French Col pass (5,240 m) and the Thapa pass (5,155 m). Dhaulagiri Circuit trek gives you a lifelong experience while walking through Italian Base Camp and Dhaulagiri North base camp.During the trek, you will enjoy the panoramic view of Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167 m), the world’s seventh-highest mountain along with its massive mountain range consisting of fifteen 7,000-meter peaks. The entire Mountain View is truly breathtaking.

We traverse from the head of Hidden Valley, and cross Dhampus Pass (5155 m) and our trek ends with a steep descent to Jomsom, a popular town of Mustang district via Marpha At Jomsom  you will meet other trekkers who have descended from the Thorong La on the Annapurna Circuit. Under normal conditions, the standard route follows moderate snow-bound slopes to the summit and can be attempted with an ice axe and crampon. Dhaulagiri trekking is not only for adventure, but it also gives insights into the lifestyle of Nepal’s ethnic people like  Gurung, Thakali, MagarsThakuri and their unique cultures and tradition with varieties of rituals.
