Climbing & Expedition

Climbing & Expedition:

Nepal is very much popular in the world for trekking and it is the best way to explore the nooks and corners of the country. While trekking, one can explore culturally different villages of easily accessible to remote areas, and encounter diverse ethnic people, walk through amazing middle hills, hidden valleys up to the Himalayan foothills observing beautiful mountain views, splendid greeneries, icy-cold natural stream water, roaring rivers, waterfalls, diverse flora and fauna.
As compared to trekking, hiking is less rigorous and it lasts for an hour or a day, passing through a forest, along a river or uphill. Trekking is organized for a few days to almost a month-long, depending on trekking destination, style of trek, trekkers’ interest ,strength and timeframe. Walking could be twelve kilometres or just four to five kilometres a day.
Nepal Fair Step Trekking offer mainly two types of treks in Nepal-teahouse trekking with a guide and porters and full board camping with crew and logistics. Either type of trekking is availed of as per destinations, available time, budget and personal preference of our customers. The main trekking regions like Everest/Khumbu, Annapurna, Langtang/Helambu, Mustang , Kanchenjunga teahouse trekking can be organized. In the remote and restricted areas where there are no facilities available for teahouse accommodation and food, full board camping trekking is necessary with the support of a guide, porters and logistical support especially for Dhorpatan-Dolpa trek, Upper Dolpo Trek, Rara Lake TrekRolwaling TashiLapcha Pass TrekMakalu Base Camp Trek etc.
The best time for trekking in Nepal is from end of September to November as during this time temperatures are moderate, weather is stable and sunny. One can view mountain views clearly.
In summer season from June to August we can organize trek to Mustang, Nar-Phu and Upper Dolpo as all these regions lie in the rain-shadow area with less effect of rain. In Nepal June to August is the peak rainy season though. From March to May is also suitable time for trekking/hiking, climbing and mountaineering. During this time the weather gets moderate, mountain scenery is visible. One can see full blooming of colourful rhododendrons, varieties of flora and fauna during trekking. As soon as the autumn season ( Oct-Nov) ends, winter season starts from December to February. During this time we can choose low altitude treks like Ghorepani-Poonhill trek, Langtang Helambu trek etc, In the high altitude snowfall and chilled cold weather makes quite difficult to trek though very few trekkers prefer to trek in winter.
